Personally, I wish all controllers would work with 15 pin and USB, so the addition is an extra plus in my book. When was the last time you used the Mode button on a controller for anything?

A Select and Start button are there for those of you still fixed on the console layout system, and a Mode button provides about as much usage as the Sidewinder’s old Mode button. There’s a reason why the new Microsoft gamepads have opted to ditch the button altogether.

Installation is a breeze as well — pop in your WingMan software disk, install, and from then on, most Logitech joysticks will work perfectly on your system. Tony Hawk 2, in my opinion, should be the biggest test of any PC gamepad, since it utilizes a large amount of buttons, and requires some pretty intense reaction times, not to mention the fact that it gives the button layout a good going over, since you’re switching hand positions so often in the course of a level.
