May be you didn’t restart your computer after reinstall new drivers could cause that unrecognized device thing.

Merudo Dec 14, When I uninstalled it and rebooted, it just referred to itself as “PCI Device” when it re-found itself. I’ve installed all the drivers I know of including the media card reader thingy Probably the card reader. After running a bunch of Windows XP updates I went to sleep halfway through themthe problem disappeared.

Or disable it from your system. Driver is downloadable from support. MerudoDec 14,in forum: I wouldnt remove it in case it might be something important, and if it is you’ll figure it out sooner or later, one thing to take note of, the order in which you install things is important, and not following that could lead to a missing or unknown device showing up.
